“Remember the good old days of video gaming? Before all of these flashy graphics and complicated controls? Whatever happened to the good old text adventure eh? Sitting down in front of a screen with nothing but your keyboard and your wits. Hoping desperately that the computer would understand what you typed into it. The jubilation as you figured out a puzzle, and more often than not the sheer frustration!!
Okay, so maybe things have improved, but that doesn’t mean it’s not fun to look back occasionally. And now you can be transported back to the good old days of 1988 with the Twilight Zone text adventure for the PC and Amiga from Gigabit Systems. Fancy giving it a try? The come over to The Official Twilight Zone Forum to find out how!
What any of this has to do with The Twilight Zone is anyone’s guess, but that couch looks like something from the 5th dimension! Although the second screenshot slips a couple of references in there.
Or thanks to forum member The Collector’s Room for providing these shots!”

You can download the Twilight Zone text adventure HERE Within the folder you download you’ll find a batch file called ‘TZ’ - run it and you can play the adventure without images (you don’t need them apparently). If you run ‘TZVGA’ you can play with the pictures, but it won’t run on all modern displays. Share your exploits, discoveries and frustrations in this thread!
